ADHD Belonging opens in 2027.

Bulk billed telehealth sessions after an ADHD diagnosis are coming next year, for children with a parent or carer, teens and adults, in focused 25 minute sessions with Lauren Lynch, Accredited Mental Health Social Worker. Join the list and you’ll hear first when places open.

If you’d like support now, therapy with Medicare rebates is open today.

The sessions

What they’ll be like

Focused 25 minute video sessions, built for how ADHD attention and follow through work. We’ll switch to phone if the video drops out. Practical skills drawn from CBT for ADHD, ACT and DBT: routines and follow through, emotions that hit hard and fast, sleep, food and energy.

The care

Affirming, and joined up

Aboriginal led, neurodivergent affirming and LGBTQIA+ affirming care. Your doctor gets a short update after your first session, around session six, and when we finish.

Medicare

How Medicare works here

Better Access covers up to 10 individual sessions each calendar year. Each referral covers up to 6 sessions; after that, your referring doctor reviews how things are going and can refer you for more. We also accept referrals under a GP chronic condition management plan, and, for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients, referrals after a health assessment.

What to ask your GP

It’s a normal request, and GPs make these referrals all the time. Here’s how.

  1. Book a longer appointment with your usual GP. That’s the practice where you’re registered through MyMedicare, or the GP you usually see. Since November 2025, a Mental Health Treatment Plan for these sessions has to come from that practice or your usual GP, not a one-off or online GP.
  2. Ask for a Mental Health Treatment Plan and a referral to Lauren Lynch, Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, at Body Belonging Clinic, for telehealth sessions under Better Access.
  3. If a psychiatrist or paediatrician diagnosed you, you can ask them for a referral instead. You don’t need a plan for that.
  4. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people: you can also ask your GP or Aboriginal community-controlled health service about a health assessment and a referral to us for follow-up.
  5. Ask them to send it to referrals@bodybelongingclinic.com.au. Then book a free 15 minute call so we can find a time.

Your GP decides what’s right for you. If a referral isn’t the right fit, they’ll talk through other options with you.
