Medicare rebates may be available with a valid GP Mental Health Treatment Plan, psychiatrist or paediatrician referral. As an ANZAED Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician, Lauren can also work under an eligible Eating Disorder Treatment and Management Plan, giving eligible clients access to up to 40 Medicare-rebated sessions a year, against 10 under a standard plan, where criteria are met. From 1 November 2025, a Mental Health Treatment Plan must be prepared by the patient’s MyMedicare-registered or usual GP practice for rebates to apply. Body Belonging is also a registered DVA provider: eligible veterans and their families can be referred for DVA-funded mental health sessions.
Appointments in Nedlands and by telehealth across Australia, including Quick Chair — a 25-minute bulk-billed telehealth session (MBS 91175) for eligible clients with a valid referral.
With more WA GPs now able to diagnose and prescribe for ADHD, more people than ever have a diagnosis and need somewhere for the ongoing work. Body Belonging is that next step — a neurodivergent-led, affirming practice for eating, body image and identity, by an ANZAED Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician and Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AMHSW) who knows the terrain from the inside. Refer knowing your clients land somewhere that gets it.

Every referral is confirmed within 48 hours, and we contact your patient directly to arrange a first appointment. You receive a written update at the start and close of care — and at plan review points — with direct access to Lauren, not a call centre. And because Body Belonging doesn’t assess ADHD or autism, there’s no diagnostic overlap with your own work.
Accredited Mental Health Social Workers hold a credential assessed by the AASW through a process endorsed by the Australian Government, and are Medicare-recognised providers of Focussed Psychological Strategies under Better Access and the EDP. Rebates are the same as for registered psychologists and occupational therapists delivering FPS. Body Belonging is also a registered DVA provider, recognised under WorkCover WA, and social work is a funded therapy support under the NDIS.
The WA Eating Disorders Framework 2025–2030 calls for earlier, community-based eating disorder care and stronger primary-care pathways. Body Belonging adds specialist community capacity on exactly that front — by telehealth across Australia, with in-person sessions in Nedlands from November 2026.
Peer-reviewed research links ADHD and autism with substantially higher rates of eating disorders and disordered eating, and ARFID co-occurs strongly with both — the overlap this practice was built for.
When available, please include the client’s preferred name, pronouns, date of birth, contact details, Medicare referral pathway, current supports, relevant medical information, eating or body image concerns, risk concerns, cultural or accessibility considerations, and whether family, kin, carers or other practitioners are involved.
For urgent risk, medical instability or crisis concerns, please use emergency or acute services. Body Belonging Clinic is not an emergency or crisis service.
we kept one for them.
Our secure online form keeps first contact to brief, general details; sensitive clinical information is collected afterwards through our secure practice system, so it’s always handled safely and respectfully.
